to the Quesada clan and which message shall be read during this
Saturday's memorial service for the late Col. Frank Quesada. We are

Dear Bobby Reyes,
Thanks for informing
me about the upcoming Memorial Service scheduled on February 23, 2008
associated with by brother's demise. I have returned to New York and
will not be able to attend said ceremony. I spoke with my sister-in-law,
Lourdes M. Quesada, a few minutes ago and she is considering of going to
LA with my sister, Sonia, who is staying with her in Las Vegas.
In the event that she
cannot make it, she will most likely designate my niece, Peachy Crespo,
who is a LA resident.
Sincerely
Romulo B. Quesada
From Col. Frank
Quesada's wife:
In behalf of the Quesada Family I would like to thank all of you for
your kind words of sympathy and condolence. Your support during this
time of grief is very much appreciated. We also want to thank you for
the memorial service for my late husband scheduled on Saturday, February
23, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. This gesture is so touching and will be greatly
remembered by our family. I'd like to be there personally, but my
schedule does not allow me. I have to prepare for my trip to Manila to
take my beloved husband's remains for burial. There are various paper
work I needed to get before my trip.
Due to my inability
to come for the memorial service, may I designate my stepdaughter Mrs.
Christine Crespo to represent our family. She resides in Burbank, CA.
Thank you again for
the honor you are giving my late husband. Please send us anything you
think is worth keeping in our family album to remember Col. Francisco B.
Quesada, my beloved husband. -Mrs. Lourdes Valt-Martinez Quesada

(FACLA)
On behalf of
my step-mother (Mrs. Lourdes Quesada), my twin sister
(Margaret), and the rest of the Quesada family, I would like
to thank everyone here today for this memorial service being
rendered to remember, celebrate, and honor the life of my
father, FRANCISCO B. QUESADA.
I know my
father, who is up there, is elated and very grateful to the
Philippine government, his fellow war veterans and friends
for their acknowledgement of his life long passion which is
to fight for the rights of his fellow WWII veterans.
If not for
his illness and eventual death, he would undoubtedly
continue with this passion.
I am sure it
is his wish that the torch for this noble cause will be
continued to its conclusion with more determination by our
government and other sectors who, worked and sacrificed with
him to finally get justice for the few living WWII veterans.
All your
kind words of sympathy and support are not only a comfort
but a source of strength for my family and me in this
difficult time. Thank you for this memorial service, we
will be eternally grateful.
Christine
“Peachy” Crespo
